We had an informative meeting today with special guests from Randolph Electric concerning
their great efforts to serve their customers during the extended power outage in Moore County this past December of 2022.
Jay Albright from Randolph Electric gave our Carthage club a detailed breakdown of events during the outage, the technical details, and told us about their extraordinary efforts to restore power to the customers they serve.
Kim spoke to us about who from her school was doing what for the Pancake Supper her school New Century Middle will be hosting for us. Tickets were handed out to club members to sell. Tickets are $8 for all you can eat pancakes, bacon, and sausage. Mark and Betsy will provide all food needed to cook.
Betsy Kessler prepared an awesome lunch which consisted of beef and bean burritos, Spanish rice, Mexican bean salad, chips with salsa and guacamole, and banana pudding cake for dessert. As always the lunch meal was delicious and a heartfelt thank you goes to Betsy for her efforts.
Junior sent a message saying he wished he could of been there but Hobby Lobby’s schedule just isn’t working with our meetings. So for now he will be supportive but absent.
David Norris has stepped up to be our next President as Junior had to step down for this upcoming year.
During today's meeting, the Paul Harris Fellow certificate was presented to David Norris by Mark Lemond and Rotary Club President Isaias Alvayero.
Our next regular meeting is canceled in lieu of our Pancake Supper fundraiser on March 16 at New Century Middle School.
